Today I am going off of the ghost town trailer a little bit, and talking about the Maunsell Sea Forts. They were designed by Guy Maunsell.The forts were built during WWII to protect from mainly air assaults on britain. The forts, however, were never used to destroy anything, and were soon abandoned and by the late 1950's were decommissioned. They were then taken over by pirates in the late 1960's, who then set up radio stations. It didn't last long, because the coverage wasn't good. Some TV shows were filmed here, including a Doctor Who episode, and Danger man. Talk about a movie having these towers featured in them was going on, but nothing ever happened with that. The Sea Forts are now closed to the public because of dangerous conditions, but one of my dreams is to get in one of them. I don't think them being closed to public will stop me from living one of my dreams. If anyone has ever been there, feel free to comment what is was like up close.
